Un convento, situato su di un' isola a largo del Mar Nero, teatro d'una tragica vicenda di morte a cui legata una suora che viene assalita da un' entit mostruosa in una notte di tregenda - un divan à tunis actrice principale. Poco tempo dopo, la figlia della donna uccisa si reca li' per scoprire cosa accaduto e soprattutto cosa legava cosi' la sua famiglia a quel posto.
Dopo aver trovato un misterioso medaglione, raffigurante una sindone bestiale e dopo aver assistito, in preda ad una visione, advertisement un sacrificio umano, la ragazza incomincer a temere per la propria vita. Difatti le suore che vivono nel convento adorano un qualcosa di antico ed orridoun qualcosa che esige carne per nutrirsi (un divan à tunis actrice principale).
Il ritmo del movie scandito da lente carrellate negli inquietanti corridoi illuminati da fiaccole del convento e dall' ottima interpretazione della protagonista. Baino si dimostra dotato di uno stile proprio molto delineato, nonostante sia apparentemente simile a quello di Dario Argento. C' tensione costante nel movie ed un' atmosfera allucinata che spiazza e mette a disagio.

E' un peccato che dopo questa pellicola (che risale al 1994) si siano perse le tracce di questo giovane regista italiano. Avrebbe potuto entrare a far parte dei grandi dell' horror, a parer mio, se solo qualcuno avesse nutrito maggior fiducia nelle sue evidenti ottime capacit.
